Drinking water is a simple, cheap and effective way to relieve a stressful mind. The brain needs enough water to transport all essential nutrients across its brain-blood barrier (BBB). Without adequate hydration, the brain will not receive all the nutrients needed for one to overcome feelings of anxiety and irritability.

Adequate intake of water aids memory and focus while preventing dehydration-induced confusion. It is essential for regulating body temperature, lubricating joints, transporting nutrients, maintaining a healthy skin and helping the kidneys flush out waste products. Ultra-processed soft drinks and juice are not a good substitute for drinking water.

Sipping a 16 oz. (480ml) cold glass of water as you would a hot drink can positively affect your mood. Dehydration causes exhaustion and stress, leading to impatient behavior. While drinking water is not a cure for anxiety or irritability, it can help ease the symptoms associated with these feelings.

Aside from the obvious need for drinking water to keep the body hydrated. Water has a powerful physical effect on the body due to its ability to activate our parasymphatic nervous system (PSN). Our PSN helps the body to relax and feel safe.

So, it’s possible water may be able to activate your PSN as effectively as opioid medications, without any of the harmful side effects common with opioid therapy. Try to drink a minimum of 48 oz. (1.5L) of water (filtered) daily. Increase that amount during exercise or hot weather.

Water makes up 99 percent of our saliva, it’s a specialized fluid that contains enzymes, electrolytes, and mucus to assist in digestion and oral health. Water is also necessary to keeps the mouth in addition to the nose, and eyes moist.

About 20% of the water you consume daily normally comes from the food you eat. Spring or distilled water is fine to drink as long as it doesn’t come in a plastic bottle. I will end with an interesting fact, water can make up roughly 60 percent of a person’s body weight.

All cosmetics contain toxic chemicals and there are no regulations in opposition to their use for the protection of consumers. They contain harmful ingredients like heavy metals and forever chemicals. Mercury and Arsenic have been found in skin lightening cream and lead has been found in lipstick.

These toxic heavy metals are known to cause neurological and reproductive damage. Forever chemicals are a group of over 15,000 synthetic compounds that do not break down easily in the environment or the human body. These chemicals are often found in everyday products like waterproof makeup, hair products, lotions and lipstick.

When applied, some are absorbed by the skin and enter the bloodstream. Forever chemicals are widely recognized as endocrine disruptors. Cosmetic poisoning starts from the moment you wake up and brush with an oral detergent (toothpaste) and bathe with detergents (soap and maybe shampoo). Followed by all the feel good, smell right lotions, creams, perfumes, colognes and deodorants.

Last but not least – makeup, hair sprays, gels and/or creams are used before walking out the door. The amount of toxic chemicals (cosmetics) people are indulging in is scary, disturbing and, it goes without saying – yes, poisonous. There are no laws and FDA regulations that require the cosmetic industry to perform any test to demonstrate the safety of their products.

They also don’t have to share all the product ingredients with the FDA before a cosmetic goes on the market. The cosmetics industry uses misdirection in their advertisements to distract consumers from the potential presence of harmful, undisclosed and under-regulated chemicals in their products. This form of misdirection utilizes marketing strategies that highlight the attraction of beautiful skin and glossy hair.

To the cosmetic industry profit is more important than a safety evaluation. That’s why a mere 15% of products undergo pre-market safety analysis. Anyone who doesn’t use cosmetics is belittled by society into using them and those who willingly use cosmetics are likely, unknowingly self-poisoning. The amount of toxic chemicals in personal care products is staggering (in the hundreds to thousands).

That much poison on the daily over decades is more than the body can cope with. Accelerated deterioration of your body is inevitable.
